Photo and description

The Church of St. Anne in Mosar was built in 1792 by order of the owners of the Mosar estate, Robert and Anna Brzhestovsky, in honor of the patron saint Anna Brzhestovskaya. Saint Anna is the mother of the Mother of God. Catholics always treat her with special respect.

The church became especially revered after a real miracle happened here. In 1838, a cart with the relics of St. Justin traveled through the Belarusian and Lithuanian Catholic churches. This custom was very widespread in the 19th century - the relics of the saints were taken to cities and villages so that everyone could touch the shrine. Having reached the Mosar Church of St. Anne, the carriage stopped. The horses did not want to go further. No persuasion or threats could move them. The faithful parishioners of the Mosar temple understood that it was the will of Saint Justin himself - he wished that his relics would forever find refuge in Mosar.

Saint Justin is a special saint. He helps alcoholics find a sober life. This trouble has been known from time immemorial. As long as there is wine and spirits. Suffering people from all over the area came here, wishing to get rid of the pernicious craving for alcohol.

In our time, in 1988, in a dilapidated, once glorious church, a truly holy man settled - priest Joseph Bulka. He put in order and restored the church, grew a beautiful landscape park around the church with beautiful flowers, neat paths and trimmed trees. This garden is called the Belarusian Versailles. A carved bridge is thrown over a small lake with lilies. In the center of the garden - Pieta - an exact copy of the statue of Michelangelo, a statue of the Mother of God mourning her Son, taken from the cross. There is also a monument to Pope John Paul II installed in the garden.

In the temple itself there is a special Book of Sobriety, an anti-alcohol museum, the society of Alcoholics Anonymous operates at the temple.
