The house-museum of the sculptor Hermann Brachert is the only museum in the world dedicated to one of the famous German sculptors of the early 20th century. - Herman Brachert. The house-museum is located in the village of Otradnoye, on the picturesque coast of the Baltic Sea.

The opening of the memorial museum took place in 1993 in a country house that previously belonged to the Brachert family. The house was built in 1931 by the architect Hans Hopp. In 1992 the house was reconstructed. The main initiator of the foundation of the house-museum was A.S. Sarul. The beautiful estate is practically immersed in the greenery of red beech, rhododendron, forsythia and other plants.

The house-museum displays a huge number of works belonging to the sculptor Hermann Brachert and his wife, photo artist Maria Brachert. The funds of the memorial museum consist of several dozen Brachert sculptures and reliefs, amber and bronze items, as well as photographs and diaries of the sculptor's wife.

The Brachert family from 1919 to 1944 lived in East Prussia, which they considered their homeland. G. Brachert was engaged in medal plastics, sculpture and jewelry making. He created over 20 monumental sculptures for Konigsberg and the provinces of East Prussia. For quite a long time G. Brachert was a designer and consultant of the State Amber Manufactory. He was a lecturer at the Konigsberg School of Arts and Crafts, and after he moved to Stuttgart in 1944, he served as rector of the Academy of Arts. M. Brachert was born in St. Petersburg. Together with her husband, they lived in Konigsberg, Stuttgart and Georgenswald. As an artist-photographer, M. Brachert left invaluable materials that give an idea of the cultural life in East Prussia.

Currently, the house-museum of the outstanding sculpture by Herman Brachert is a cultural heritage of the city of Svetlogorsk. The museum offers individual and group excursions for visitors. In addition, the house-museum serves as a venue for art exhibitions from the collections of Russian and foreign museums, exhibitions of works by Kaliningrad, Polish, and Lithuanian artists, a venue for various concerts and meetings of creative clubs.
