Atocha is the largest train station in Madrid, the old building of which was built in 1851 according to the decree of Queen Isabella II. The first building of the railway station was destroyed as a result of a fire that occurred here. In 1892, a new station building was erected on this site, designed by the architect Alberto de Palacio. The famous Madrid train station owes its name to the earlier and later demolished Atocha gate.

In addition to being an important railway junction connecting many Spanish cities to the east, west and south of Madrid, it is also an extremely interesting and beautiful place. People arriving by train in Madrid are lucky to visit one of the most beautiful train stations in the world, whose building looks more like an amazing garden.
