The Intercession Church is located in the center of the village of Medvedovo and stands on a mountain. It was built in 1722 by the local landowner Martha Arbuzova. Installed on the site of an older dilapidated church. The type of church is an octagon on a four. The church had five bells. The largest bell weighed 19 pounds 17 pounds. Seven seraphim and three icons are cast on this bell.

The church is built of wood, sheathed with clapboard on the outside, inside with plaster and whitewashed. In terms of a relatively longitudinal axis, it is symmetrical. The bell tower is also wooden, has two tiers, and it had three bells. There are three thrones in the church. All thrones are cold. The church is one-story, built like a ship. The church has a semicircular, five-walled altar. The church is one-headed has two aisles. The church stands on small wooden crowns (racks). It is surrounded by boulders along the perimeter. The entrance to the building is provided by two porches: one is located on the west; the other, with a small open gallery, is to the south. In front of the narthex there is a narrow chopped gallery. The porch has an L-shape. The double-height quadrangle completes the octagon, which is covered with a low tent with a small dome. The roof of the entire church building is covered with iron. The floors in the temple are wooden. Of the decorative details, there are quaysides and carved pillars on the porches. Along the perimeter, the four and eight are valances.

In the main church there is a prefabricated two-tiered iconostasis. The top of the Baroque frame is made in the form of a half-blade, in the center of the half-blade in an oval frame, with rays, is the "Last Supper". At the very top of the half-blade, there is a crucifix with the figures of the ones ahead. Tables are made in the form of an order entablature, and columns with carved capitals divide icons in two rows. The iconostasis in the main church is decorated with the royal gates of through-fryazhskaya carving. Another iconostasis is located in the chapel in the name of Guri, Samon and Aviv and the iconostasis in the chapel of Boris and Gleb. These iconostases are also two-tiered, but simpler. In the Borisoglebsk side-altar such icons as Baptism, The Last Supper, Nativity of Christ, and Introduction to the Temple are interesting. According to the preserved inscription on one of the icons, it can be assumed that a number of icons were painted by the Toropets merchant, icon painter Ivan Skarlygin. In the Guryev side-altar, icons of the 18th century are of interest: `` Baptism '', Descent of the Holy Spirit, Savior with Power, Apostle Peter, Parsuna Prophet Daniel. There are 13 windows in the church, three of which are in the altar. In the church there are four windows with iron bars, other windows have no bars.

Since 1892, a parish school was opened at the church and began to operate, for this school in 1899 a two-story building was built. The new building was built at the expense of the Holy Synod, as well as donations from benefactors and funds raised by parishioners (now this building houses a local school).

In 1883, there was one priest in the church. In 1903 the church underwent major renovations. On examination, carried out in 1906, it was concluded: “for my age, the church is perfectly preserved. " In 1911, the church had 80 acres of land. The church is 24 meters long, 13 meters wide, and 15 meters high.

The church is a unique monument of its kind that requires careful research. To date, a passport has been drawn up for the monument, and it is under local protection. Services are held in the church.
