Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionThe Church of the Life-Giving Trinity is located in the village of Nikandrovo, Lyubytinsky District, Novgorod Region. Perhaps this temple is the richest place in the village for all kinds of legends and mysteries. Rumors about incredible miracles that were happening in it reached the very Veliky Novgorod. For example, they said that the mother of Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov, after serving in the Trinity Church, ordered a prayer there for the health of her husband Vasily Ivanovich and during him gave birth to the future great commander. The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity was built in the 1820s to replace the former wooden Resurrection Church of the former Nikandrova Hermitage. The construction was completed in 1831. Then she was consecrated. The large stone church had 3 thrones. Other sources have information that it was built in 1811. In 1911, a commemorative postcard was issued, on which there was an image of the Holy Reverend Nikandr Gorodnoyezersky Wonderworker, who founded a monastery in this place in the second half of the 16th century. Also on this postcard, in the background, there was a temple that was built here later. There is an assumption that the postcard was issued for the 100th anniversary of the church, and therefore a possible date for its construction could be 1811. In 1932, the church was taken away from the parishioners. During the reign of Khrushchev, he suffered greatly: the crosses were torn from the head, church utensils were plundered, the iconostasis and painting were destroyed, the details of the Royal Gates, which the church was proud of before destruction, for a long time, along with shavings and broken bricks, lay under the floor of the altar. The church was adapted as a granary. Gradually, the temple began to collapse: the roofing iron corroded, the rafters rotted, the roof was covered with grass, trees, through holes formed on it. Probably, it would have completely collapsed if a miracle had not happened: the myrrh-streaming of the lithographic image of the icon of the Vladimir Mother of God located in the altar of the church. In addition, when reading the akathist, the paints of the icon became brighter. Eyewitnesses testified that the drops appeared again and again, at times exuding an aroma similar to the perfume "Red Moscow". It turns out that Empress Alexandra Feodorovna used this perfume, and on the very day when the icon cried in the village of Nikandrovo, the queen was canonized. In the history of the Trinity Church, such a miraculous case is not the only one. For example, in collective farm times, someone from the village of Pobezhalovo decided to save a temple icon, which was the size of a man. He carried her to his house about 2 kilometers. The question arises: what is the miracle? They say that then 5 men could not budge her. There were cases, again according to the stories of old-timers, when in the 1970s some of the marauders, having stolen a cross from a church, according to another version, a bell, could not carry it away because he died. Everyone who tried to desecrate the temple was overtaken by punishment. Literally a month after the significant crying of the icon of the Vladimir Mother of God, a man appeared who agreed to donate an impressive amount of money for restoration work in the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity. Novgorod construction teams and specialists from St. Petersburg worked in the church. The reconstruction of the destroyed exterior masonry was completed in 2001. From the summer of 2002 to the present day, regular services have been held in the church.
