The history of the St. Miklos castle, located in Chinadievo, goes back to the distant Middle Ages, when Chinadievo (then St. Miklos) in 1387 passed into the possession of the Hungarian magnate Pereni, and in In the village in the 15th century, the castle of the owner of St. Miklos Dominion was built, which has survived to this day.

The castle was built like a Romanesque feudal fortress. Outwardly, it looks like an impregnable stronghold and is a massive gray two-story building with two three-tiered towers at the corners. The castle walls are more than one meter thick. The defensive character of the castle is also emphasized by a number of small loopholes. In terms of the castle, it looks like an irregular quadrangle stretching from north to south. The castle consists of two parts: the southern part with an autonomous entrance, and north - the main entrance leads to it. Like both floors of the castle, both parts are interconnected.

At the beginning of the 18th century, the building ceased to correspond to its original purpose. Although during the anti-Hapsburg war, the castle still served the rebel army - the leader of this struggle, Ferenc II Rakoczi, retreated here after the rebels were defeated by the Austrian army near Mukachevo. Later, the dominion passes to the Austrian emperor and Charles VI in 28, 18 century. presents it to Archbishop Schonborn. His family ruled dominance and the castle for almost two hundred years.

Today the public is fighting for the preservation of this important monument of history and architecture of the 15th century. Now there is a museum of local lore, a concert hall, a hall for wedding ceremonies, an art gallery.
