Photo and description

The Sri Radha Krishna temple complex, which is located in the Indian state of Karnataka, in the northern part of Bangalore, in the Rajjinagar region, belongs to the ISKCON organization (International Society for Krishna Consciousness - International Society for Krishna Consciousness) ). It is one of the largest of the many temples created by ISKCON, which is also known as the Hare Krishna Movement.

The temple complex was created quite recently - in May 1997 as part of the organizations. One of the former presidents of India, Mr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, even took part in the opening ceremony. But the temple itself officially opened its doors to visitors in 1998, and literally from the first days of its "work" it became not just a place for prayer, but a real cultural and educational center.

But above all, Sri Radha Krishna is famous for his interesting architectural style, which combines the rich architectural traditions of India and modern trends and technologies. Four snow-white gopuram (main towers), which are decorated with carved panels and various sculptures, united by a glass dome, form a huge hall called "Hari Naam Kirtan". Its area is almost 930 square meters. The ceiling of this hall is painted with vivid paintings depicting mythological scenes. The main shrines of the temple are the statues of God Krishna and Goddess Radha.

Also on the territory of the complex there is a large garden for meditation, a beautiful pond, a Vedic theater and a rich museum of the history of religion. Besides,
