Ostankino estate description and photos - Russia - Moscow: Moscow. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionThe ensemble of the Ostankino estate took shape over several centuries and was finally formed under Count N.P.Sheremetev at the turn of the 18th-19th centuries. The interiors of the palace have almost fully retained their decor and decoration. Artistic parquet flooring is one of the main attractions. The original look gives the halls an abundance of carved gilded wood. Chandeliers, furniture and other decorations are in their original places. Unlike ordinary estates, the central and main place in the Ostankino Palace is occupied by a large theater hall with an extensive stage, which during the scores turned into a single dance hall. The side wings contain the Italian and Egyptian pavilions; the first of them served as a reception room, the second as a concert hall. The richly decorated halls of the palace form a ceremonial suite. The palace park consists of two parts - regular and landscape. From the palace, through the park parterre richly decorated with statues, there is a straight alley leading to the ponds. A huge pond is located in front of the main facade of the palace. The Ostankino Estate Museum presents a collection of ancient Russian icons and wooden sculptures of the late 15th-early 20th centuries, a collection of furniture from the late 14th-19th centuries, a collection of paintings and graphics. Particularly noteworthy is the collection of lighting fixtures of the late 15th and early 20th centuries, which includes both serial production lamps and unique custom-made products. The Ostankino Museum-Estate annually hosts the Sheremetev Seasons Music Festival;, We also recommend reading Jewish Museum ”Galicia” (Zydowskie Muzeum Galicja) description and photos - Poland: Krakow Topic: Ostankino estate description and photos - Russia - Moscow: Moscow. |
