Description, photographs and a map showing the nearest significant objects. The title in English is Aboriginal Australia Culture Center. Photo & DescriptionThe Australian Aboriginal Cultural Center in Alice Springs was founded by the Arrernte Aborigines. The expositions of the center, telling about the life of the indigenous inhabitants of Australia, are housed in a small cozy museum. Here you can learn about the life of Aboriginal people since the first contact with Europeans, get acquainted with their art, try to play the traditional musical instrument "didgeridoo" and buy handmade souvenirs. Here you can also order a tour of the city and its environs accompanied by an aboriginal guide to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the real Red Center of the country. Fully run by the Australian indigenous community, the Cultural Center is a must-see for anyone interested in Aboriginal culture. For almost 40 thousand years, the place where Alice Springs stands today was a meeting place for Aboriginal people, where they exchanged household items, knowledge, and together created works of art and culture. And these traditions are still alive - they can be seen at a unique Center that supports the unique lifestyle of Indigenous Australians. The Arrernte community itself is based 80 km south of the city, and the center was established to provide employment for Aboriginal people, develop infrastructure and provide them with housing. Today, more than 100 representatives of the tribe regularly cooperate with the center - they paint pictures, create crafts, souvenirs and other goods.
