The Cathedral in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity in the city of Zhlobin was built after a great fire on May 13, 1880, when not only most of the city burned down, but also the wooden Church of the Exaltation of the Cross. The highest place on the banks of the Dnieper was chosen for the construction.

The fate of this beautiful church turned out to be difficult. During the Stalinist repressions, Father Adam Zhdanovich was arrested. There was no one to serve in the church, and it was closed by the authorities. It was decided to set up a city archive in an empty room.

During the fierce bloody battles of 1941, the temple found itself in the very line of fire. It was almost destroyed to the ground. The shining domes were visible from a distance, even in bad weather. They served as a sight for the fascist artillery. Therefore, it was decided to blow up the church. Three times they laid explosives under the church walls, but the temple survived, only golden domes rolled down. The remains of the walls were taken away by local residents to restore houses destroyed during the war.

In 1992 it was decided to rebuild the long-suffering church. In 1995, the fully built temple was consecrated. Now its bell ringing spreads far along the Dnieper, and golden domes are visible from almost anywhere in Zhlobin.

Grateful parishioners love their church. With love and patience, they grow a beautiful garden on the church grounds. Thanks to the efforts of believers, a Sunday school for children was organized. An icon painting school of spiritual painting has recently opened. An Orthodox public library operates in the church.
