The Angel Bridge was built in the 19th century. It is thrown across Losi Street, which runs along the valley, between the slopes of the Domberg Hill. On the bridge there is an inscription “Otium reficit vires” (“Rest rejuvenates”), which invites you to rest and gain strength in the old park on the hill. The Inglisild Bridge was built on the site of a temporary bridge in 1814-1816.

The architect of the project was I. Krause. In 1913, the Angel Bridge was overhauled. At the same time, on the side facing the park, a bas-relief of the first rector of the University of Tartu, created by the sculptor Wetter-Rosenthal, was placed.
