Photo and description

The Krems Caricature Museum was created by the architect and cartoonist Gustav Pechl. The museum was opened on September 29, 2001. The first guests were awaited by the exhibition "All cartoons - XX century". In addition to organizing exhibitions, the staff of the Museum of Caricatures strive to create their own collection of caricatures and are working on the foundation of a specialized library where all acquired drawings could be kept. The area of interest of the Krems Museum is the European caricature of the 20th century, in particular the Austrian one.

The Museum of Caricatures occupies a bizarre three-story building built by the founder of the museum, Gustav Pahl. The permanent exhibition occupies the first two floors. The works located on the ground floor are allowed to be photographed. The large and spacious foyer in the museum is shared by several floors. On the ground floor there is a library and an interesting gift shop,
