Ta'Pinu Church is the target of many pilgrims arriving on Malta. It was built relatively recently - in the 1930s. Before that, there was a 16th century chapel, the main treasure of which was the image of the Assumption of Our Lady, created by the artist Amedeo Perugino. Nowadays it can be seen all in the same chapel, which was built into the new temple. There was a time when they wanted to demolish the chapel, but in the presence of the pontiff's envoy, one of the workers injured his hand, only trying to strike with a hammer on the walls of the temple. Therefore, they decided to restore the chapel. At the end of the 19th century, a local peasant woman, passing by the old church, heard the voice of the Mother of God. Then many believers regarded it as a miracle and began to come here with personal requests to the Virgin Mary. And prayers for the recovery of the sick suddenly began to come true. A common prayer near the chapel saved the island of Gozo from a plague epidemic. And still those who come to the temple who asks the Mother of God for health - theirs and those of their loved ones. Believers, whom the Virgin Mary helped, bring drawings, photographs and notes with grateful words. The church has a corridor, the walls of which are completely covered with these testimonies of the miracles of the Mother of God.
