This reserve is now part of the Great Limpopo Border Park. After the completion of the Big Limpopo Biosphere Reserve project, the park will cover 35,000 square kilometers, 58% of its territory will be located in South Africa, 24% in the Republic of Mozambique and 18% in Zimbabwe.

This is the land of the baobabs. , low-growing marula and mopane trees, in the shade of which rhinos, elephants, leopards, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, turtles, anteaters like to hide. Kruger Park is one of the favorite spots for bird watchers. On its territory, you can observe bustards, African eared vultures, striped owls and storks. The park is home to more mammal species than any other South African reserve. A large number of hippos and crocodiles live in its rivers, and forest antelope, buffaloes and Kudu antelope concentrate near their shores.

The Kruger Park has a large number of recreation centers with picnic areas and specialized points of observation of wild animals in day and night time. Visitors to the park can take part in a safari (guided off-road vehicle ride) or a bush walk (walking in the morning or afternoon tracking a rhino, elephant and lion with a guide). The bush walk can last up to four hours. It is advisable for her to bring sunscreen with her.

Not so long ago, the South African government allowed private tour operators to lease areas of parkland where recreation centers such as Sabi Sands and Timbavati were installed. They offer incredible luxury, superbly organized safari excursions, and, if desired, freedom of movement in most of the parkland. The most famous of these luxury private camps, Buhala Game Lodge, is located on the banks of the famous Crocodile River.
