Photo and descriptionHouse-Museum of N.A. Ostrovsky is located in the city of Novorossiysk on Sovetov Street. In this house, which belonged to his distant relatives, the famous writer Nikolai Alekseevich Ostrovsky lived two of the most difficult years of his life. Once completely bedridden, he diligently engaged in self-education. It was in this house that the writer found his happiness. Raya Matsyuk - the daughter of the owner, became not only his faithful friend, but also his wife. During the Great Patriotic War & nbsp; this small house was destroyed. & nbsp; After some time, the house was restored on the previous foundation, after which it was given to the employees of the car repair plant for housing. In 1977, the city executive committee decided to open N. Ostrovsky literary and memorial department of the museum. It took the museum scientists several years to restore the original appearance of the house. R.P. Ostrovskaya, who came to Novorossiysk in 1981, rendered great help in this difficult matter. It was according to her memories that the courtyard, the facade of the house, its internal layout were restored, as well as the memorial room was recreated. The official opening of the house-museum of N.A. Ostrovsky took place in 1983. In 1990, a literary-memorial exposition was created, consisting of a memorial room and three exhibition halls. The central place in the memorial room is occupied by the writer's desk with books, newspapers and & nbsp; magazines. A kerosene table lamp, inkwell and nib pen give the room an atmosphere of authenticity. A special place in the exposition is given to the works of the writer, which were published not only in the USSR, but also abroad at different times. In the house-museum, visitors can see various documents, letters from N. Ostrovsky to relatives and friends, rare photographs, first editions of the writer's works, books in different languages of the world.
