The Church of the Nativity of Christ is a newly built temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Krivoy Rog, in the Vostochny-2 microdistrict. The church is under the canonical subordination of His Eminence Ephraim - Archbishop of the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol Diocese of the UOC. The temple was named in the name of the Nativity of Jesus Christ. Priest Valery Lukyanov was appointed its rector.

The site allocated for the construction of the Church of the Nativity of Christ was consecrated on December 9, 2007. The construction of the temple took place under the patronage of one of the largest enterprises in Ukraine - the mining and metallurgical complex "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih", it provided the main financial support, technical support and all the necessary building materials for the construction of the temple.

Initially, the opening of the temple was planned in 2009, but due to the financial crisis in the country, construction had to be partially frozen.
On October 19, 2012, on the feast of the Apostle Thomas, with a large number of believers in the Vostochny-2 microdistrict, Archbishop Ephraim of Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol conducted a ceremony of consecration of four domes and seven domed crosses that crowned the newly erected Orthodox church. Also here the Kryvyi Rih archpastor performed the rite of consecration of twelve Campans for church bells. Mayors of the city of Krivoy Rog Y. Vilkul and chairman of the Dolgintsevsky district council in Krivoy Rog I. Kolesnik, who together with Vladyka Ephraim made the first festive chime, took part in this solemn divine service.

The Church of the Nativity of Christ has a total area of about 500 sq. m & nbsp; t can accommodate more than one thousand people.
