The Omsk Museum was founded in December 1924. At this time, in the former Governor-General's Palace, thanks to the initiative of the first head of the Museum FV Melokhin, an art gallery was opened at the West Siberian Regional Museum. The gallery was created on the basis of exhibits brought from Moscow from the disbanded Rumyantsev Museum. In subsequent years, the collection was regularly replenished with new works. F.V.
