Photo & Description

Seven Mile Beach is one of the most popular holiday destinations 15 km east of Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. You can get here either by public transport or by private car along an excellent highway. The beach also attracts tourists with its breathtaking views, historic buildings and amusement parks, while it is never crowded.

The seven-mile beach is managed by the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service. Here you can lie down on the purest golden sand, breathing in the amazing air that smells like pine needles. Flocks of playful dolphins can often be seen in the turquoise waters washing the shores of the beach, and over the distant cliffs - a delightful sea eagle soaring in search of prey.

Everyone will find something to do on this pristine beach. For lovers of active recreation - surfing, horseback riding, diving. For contemplators, calm walks along the surf are suitable. There are several picnic and barbecue areas on the beach. Further afield is a golf course, equestrian center, several shops, a tavern and a first-class hotel where you can stay indefinitely to fully enjoy Seven Mile Beach.
