Trebisacce is a town in the province of Cosenza in Calabria between Amendolara and Villapiana. It is spread over an area of 26.7 square kilometers. 92 km from Cosenza. From a height of 73 meters above sea level, Trebisacce overlooks the colorful Ionian coast of Italy. In the last half century, the city's population has doubled and today it is about 10 thousand people. Economic growth has been observed since the 1970s, which was accelerated in the 1990s by the development of the tourism industry. This boom has completely changed the look of the fishing village, transforming Trebisacce into a major commercial and tourist center on the Ionian coast of Calabria.

Trebisacce with its picturesque surrounding hills, always covered with greenery, crystal-clear sea, beautiful panoramas and mild climate can offer tourists excellent opportunities for recreation. The city is considered the "pearl" of the Ionian coast. From here it is easy to get to the Pollino National Park, on the territory of which untouched virgin nature has been preserved. All year round, Trebisacce hosts festivals, celebrations and religious celebrations that bring the city to life and give tourists the opportunity to discover a unique corner of Calabria rich in tradition and history.

Trebisacce serves as a kind of eastern gateway to the Siberian Plain, rich in archaeological monuments. The territory of the city itself consists of two parts: the older one is called Paese and is conveniently located at the foot of the hill, and the modern one, Marina, stretches along the coast. The ruins of the ancient fortress walls are still visible in the upper part of the city. From the center of Trebisacce, overlooking Mount Mostarico, you can admire the Gulf of Taranta, the Sibariyskaya Plain and the Pollino mountain range.

Local attractions include the Bastion, built to protect against the raids of Ottoman pirates, the beautiful Baroque Church of San Nicola with a Dutch-tiled dome and the Church of San Giuseppe, surrounded by a wonderful pine grove. Sibari is located 22 km from Trebisacce - the most ancient Greek colony on the Ionian coast.
