In 2004 Space Center Bremen, the largest indoor amusement park in Europe (22 thousand square meters), was opened here. It was an amusement park built using the most modern technology (4D). The Space Center consisted of nine sites on which virtual attractions are located, such as space flights, the IMAX cinema.

Unfortunately, the park did not meet the expectations of investors and was closed.

In September 2008, the Waterfront Bremen shopping and entertainment center was opened on this site. There are many shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars. The multiplex IMAX cinema was opened.
