Federico Garcia Lorca's House Museum is located on the southeastern outskirts of Granada, in the house where the poet lived during the summer with his family for many years. Federico Garcia Lorca is a great Spanish poet, playwright, one of the most significant figures of Spanish culture of the 20th century.

Federico Garcia Lorca was born on June 5, 1898 in Fuentevaceros, a suburb of Granada, located a few kilometers from the city. At the age of 11, being an impressionable boy, Lorca and his family moved to Granada. The childhood spent in Granada had a strong influence on the subsequent work of the poet. The Andalusian gypsies, the Alhambra, the life and traditions of Granada, which he described in many of his works, made a huge impression on the poet.

House, in which Lorca spent every summer from 1926 to 1936, in which he was arrested during the Civil War, was very dear to the poet, here he wrote many of his significant works. The house-museum contains many pieces of furniture used by Federico Garcia Lorca. In the bedroom there is an oak table painted with paint, at which the poet worked. Nearby, you will see a small white chair, which the poet liked to carry out on the terrace in order to admire the beauty of the sunset over Granada, dear to his heart. There are many portraits on the walls in the house. In the museum of the poet there is an exposition dedicated to his work. Everything here is saturated with poetry, an echo of history is kept here, there is an opportunity to touch the life and work of a great man.
