The Museum of Modern Art, which was formerly part of the National Gallery of Carinthia, is located in the center of Klagenfurt, on Burggasse. The collections of this museum occupy the premises of the local castle. The total exhibition area reaches 1000 sq. M.

In addition to the chateau premises, the interior courtyard with an area of 650 square meters, an open gallery on the ground floor and even the chateau chapel serve as exhibition halls. The gallery displays sculptures from the collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
