In general, evidence of Turkish rule can be seen in the architecture of every city in Montenegro. One of the key cities, Bar, is no exception. In 4 kilometers from the modern city there is a mosque built by the Turks in the second half of the 17th century. The Omerbashic Mosque is a landmark of the Old Bar, was built by the Turks in 1662, during the occupation of Montenegro by the Ottoman Empire. The structure of the structure is simple and clear in architectural terms: a rectangular base with a minaret attached to the wall to the southwest. Entering the complex, you can see the tomb of Dervish-Hasan near the mosque. This tomb was built in the 17th century, later another small building, one-story high, was added to it. It served as a living quarters, as evidenced by the water pump at the entrance to the building. Even later, a house was built at the mosque, which was intended to accommodate imams and pilgrims. The entire complex is surrounded by stone walls, which it was surrounded by under the Turks.
