Roseto degli Abruzzi is a small picturesque town located between two rivers - Tordino and Vomano in the province of Teramo. It is a popular seaside resort on the Adriatic coast with a population of about 24 thousand people. In recent decades, there has been a steady growth of the local economy associated with the development of tourism. This is especially noticeable in neighborhoods such as Borsacchio, Campo a Mare and Voltarrosto. Very often the coast of Roseto is called Lido delle Rose - Beach of Roses. And recently, the local 10-kilometer beach received the prestigious "Blue Flag" - an insignia confirming the purity of the local waters.

Initially the city was called Roseburgo, but during the First World War this name became very unpopular, especially in military circles , because of, which sounded in the Austrian manner - Italy's worst enemy in that war. In 1927, the city was officially renamed Roseto degli Abruzzi. This is due in part to the sheer number and variety of roses and oleanders that grow in abundance throughout.
