Bruck an der Mur is an Austrian city located in the federal state of Styria. The city was founded in 1263 by King Otokar II of Bohemia.

Brook an der Mur was an important medieval trading center specializing in metal works. This is a reminder of the unique old 17th century well with a twisted wrought-iron canopy located on the central square of the city. The town hall with vaulted galleries is located nearby.

In the parish church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, there is a door to the sacristy wrought with metal from 1500 - a unique example of the work of local blacksmiths.

Since the 15th century, the city has a beautiful Gothic cathedral, Ruprechkirche, decorated with a fresco on the theme of the Last Judgment (16th century). It is next to the city cemetery, near the historic city center. In the center is also the famous Kornmeserhaus, a Venetian-style building built in the 15th century for a wealthy ironmonger.

In 1792, the city suffered a terrible fire, which burned down 166 houses, including the Castle of Landskron. However, a very picturesque panorama of the city opens from the ruins of the castle located at the Schlosberg hill.

Old buildings are located on the main square of the city, which are an interesting tourist attraction.
