The Three Crosses Square owes its name to two columns with gilded crosses and the figure of St. John, the patron saint of roads and bridges. They were installed by August II in 1731. And at the beginning of the 19th century, the Church of St. Alexander was built on the square in memory of the arrival of Alexander I.
