The Provand Mansion, located in the city of Glasgow, today is a historic medieval house-museum. The Provand Mansion and the nearby Glasgow Cathedral are some of the few remaining medieval buildings in the city. The cathedral is the oldest building in the city, Provand is the oldest residential building.

The Provand Mansion was built in 1471 and was then part of the hospital of St. Nicholas, founded by the Bishop of Glasgow, Andrew Muirhead. His coat of arms still adorns the wall of the building. Most likely, the house provided temporary housing for the priests of the cathedral and servants.

Most of the medieval buildings that surrounded the hospital and cathedral were demolished in the 18th and 20th centuries. In 1978, the mansion became the property of the city, and has been furnished with 17th-century Scottish furniture from the collection of William Burrell, an industrialist and philanthropist, giving visitors the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a residential building of the time. Behind the house is the St. Nicholas Garden, an oasis of peace and tranquility, where medicinal herbs are grown, and a small but very beautiful regular garden. There is also a collection of stone masks carved in 1737 that once adorned a building in Glasgow's oldest neighborhood, Trongate.
