Dryanovo Monastery is located 6 kilometers from Dryanovo along the highway towards Gabrovo. The monastery was named after St. Michael the Archangel. For several centuries in a row, the monastery was a center for the development of culture and Christianity, however, pilgrims and tourists come to the shrine today.

The monastery was founded under the ruler Kaloyan in the 12th century. The original location of the monastery was two kilometers from its present location, as in 1393 the Ottoman invaders burned the monastery down. The restoration of the Dryanovo monastery began with the efforts of the local population in the 16th century, but this time the other side of the river was chosen for construction. However, the Turks again destroyed the holy monastery.

The monastery of St. Archangel Michael received at the end of the 17th century. A little later, a library was added to the monastery complex, which became an important monastery book center during the renaissance of Bulgaria. In the 18th century, the monastery was attacked by the Kirjals (robbers-Turks) and was once again burned down.

Thus, in the 19th century, the monastery complex literally revived from the ashes for the third time. The renovated church has been in operation since 1845.

The Dryanovo Monastery is the keeper of the Archeology and Renaissance museum exhibition. The finds discovered in the immediate vicinity of the monastery are presented to everyone who wishes to see it. Each of them tells about the development of the area, as well as about the history of the national spiritual center. Here you can see tools, household items, coins and ceramics, as well as many other finds from the Neolithic and Paleolithic times.

The central place in the exposition of the monastery museum is occupied by the part dedicated to the "April Uprising" against the Ottoman yoke. Here are displayed photographs, weapons, personal belongings of fighters for the freedom of the homeland.

In addition, the monastery has a special recreation area and a playground. For tourists there are also kiosks with souvenirs in the spacious parking lot.
