At one time, this church was one of the main citadels of the Counter-Reformation. The fate of the temple was no longer simple - and ndash; in 1944 it was completely destroyed by bombing. The restoration work was completed by 1948. The facade of the cathedral, with a triangular pediment, on which the figure of Christ rises, refers to the external design of the medieval town hall. At the entrance to the cathedral, under a marble portal, stands a statue of the Archangel Michael, made of bronze at the end of the 16th century. In addition, 15 statues of the patrons of this cathedral are placed in the niches.
