After the liberation of Pinsk from the Nazi invaders, the park was named after the Red Banner Dnieper Flotilla, whose landing party played a decisive role in the liberation of Pinsk.

In the park there is a mass grave of the dead sailors with a burning eternal flame and numerous monuments that will forever preserve the names of the heroes in our memory. There are always bouquets of fresh flowers and wreaths near the memorial complex "Liberators of Pinsk". Events are held here, dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, honoring veterans.

Peaceful life continues in Pinsk. Now the city park of culture and recreation is one of the most beautiful parks in Belarus and a favorite place for family recreation of the residents of Pinsk. The park stretches along the banks of the Pina River. Many trees grow on the picturesque banks of the river, some of which are rare.
