Butterfly farm is a picturesque place in the vicinity of a small fishing village in the northwestern part of Penang island. The farm was discovered by the famous entomologist David Goh in 1986. The scientist was engaged in the preservation and enhancement of some species of butterflies in Penang. A huge aviary with an area of one hectare was built for them on the farm. It is impossible to calculate the exact number of its inhabitants, but the average exceeds five thousand. And their species diversity goes over a hundred. Yellow-winged and Raja Brook are the names of two rare butterflies that are found on the farm.
