Also, this university is famous for the fact that it was here that they were the first to accept the teachings of Copernicus, even when the church considered it heresy. Initially, the university looked rather modest, but in 1534 it was decorated with an ornament that became a masterpiece of Plateresco style. Above the doors are carved panels, which are separated by pilasters. In the very center of the facade, on the first floor, there is a sculptural medallion depicting the Catholic monarchs Isabella and Ferdinand. Above the medallion is the coat of arms of Charles V.
