The Leechkirche Church is the first church to be erected in the city of Graz in 1202. At the end of the 13th century, it was rebuilt in the Gothic style. The interior, executed in baroque style, was decorated in 1462. The plan of the church is unusual: the wide hall is separated by a triumphal arch from the choir. Fragments of a late Gothic fresco depicting the calamities of that time - the plague, the plague and the Turkish attack - are preserved on the wall on the south side.
