House-Museum of El Greco in Greece, Crete resort
Rating: 8,8/10 (3787 votes)  This house is located in Fodele, opposite the Church of Panagia. Here is a museum where you can learn about the life and work of the famous artist El Greco. Copies of many of his works are exhibited here, some of them are illuminated stained glass windows. It was believed that this famous artist was born and grew up here. However, later it turned out that he was born in Heraklion in 1541, and lived in the house for some time with his family. In addition to the museum, the village also houses a statue of the artist and his memorial.
