Kastale source in Greece, Delphi resort
Rating: 8,7/10 (2422 votes)  The Kastal spring has been revered by the inhabitants of Greece as a sacred place since ancient times. This is both a source of divine inspiration, and a balm that cleans the soul and body, which washed the prophetess Pythia herself. The Castal Key is located on the territory of the Fedriad Gorge, near the Flembukas (Juampeia) rock. In VII-VI centuries BC, a special water conduit was created that supplied water from the Kastalsky spring to the city of Delphi. Created later, the Kastaliya Skalnaya branch dates from about the 1st century BC and is located slightly higher than the ancient bath, near the source. A new bathhouse was opened here in 1878. The ancient bathhouse of the Kastalsky spring was reconstructed in the 1960s and, thanks to its history and fame, retains a constant interest among tourists who come to Delphi.
