Photo and description

Massouri is a small seaside town on the western coast of the Greek island of Kalymnos. The settlement is located about 9-10 km north-west of the island's capital city of Potia and only 1 km from the resort town of Myrtyes.

Today Massouri is one of the most popular resort centers of Kalymnos. The crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea, excellent beaches, picturesque rocky mountains surrounding the resort, on the lower slopes of which, like an amphitheater, are located traditional white houses literally immersed in greenery, as well as a well-developed infrastructure annually attract thousands of tourists from all over the world to Massouri. Here you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay - a good selection of accommodation (hotels, apartments and rooms for rent in different price categories), excellent restaurants and taverns with excellent local cuisine, cozy cafes and bars, shops, markets and a lot of entertainment.

Fans of outdoor activities can do various water sports in Massouri or take a walk in its picturesque surroundings. The resort is especially popular with fans of mountaineering. You can diversify your vacation with a trip to the small rocky island of Telendos, which lies directly opposite Massouri. Pleasure boats leave from the port of Myrtjes (journey takes about 10 minutes).

You will get a lot of pleasure visiting the sights of the city of Potia - the Archaeological, Ethnographic and Maritime Museums, the Monastery of St. Sava, the Church of Christ the Savior, etc. However, it is worth visiting the famous Chora citadel - a medieval walled city, which is an important historical and architectural monument.

Getting to Massouri is quite easy, as there is a regular bus service with the city of Potia. Taxis are also available.
