Mount Nexis is a unique mountain. It is located 5 km from Gelendzhik, near the village of Svetly. The name of the mountain is absolutely atypical for this region, since all the local mountains bear Turkic, Russian or Adyghe names. Translated from Latin "nexis" means "connection". It still remains a mystery who gave the mountain such a name. Although esotericists prove that everything is clear here: there are two dolmens on the Nexis, which since ancient times have been considered connecting portals with other worlds. This is where the name of the mountain comes from in their opinion.

The total height of the mountain is about 398 m. Nexis has two peaks. From a distance, the mountain resembles a large bactrian camel, in the saddle of which dolmens are located between two mountain peaks. Likely, that is why the heads of Nexis call it that - one (eastern) - Nexis, like the mountain itself, the other (western) - Dolmen.

An unusually picturesque, breathtaking panorama of the surroundings opens from the tops of the mountain. From here you can see Gelendzhik and Gelendzhik Bay, Mount Doob, the village of Divnomorsk and several small mountain villages in the gorges.
